Changing the Nation with a Unique Mission

Daughters of Our Veterans Educational Support

2017-2022

The D.O.V.E.S. Project was founded in September of 2017 by Isha and Tanai Gupta in Northville, Michigan. It was the first project under the Manjula Gupta Foundation that worked to support daughters of veterans with their educational goals by providing them with scholarships.
Our mission was to eliminate financial barriers for daughters of veterans in America and assist them in achieving their educational ambitions.
This project was active from 2017 to 2022 and helped girls around the U.S. afford a college education.

Why Daughters of Veterans?

Isha and Tanai’s grandmother, Manjula Gupta, was an advocate for girl’s education in her home of New Delhi, India. Our plan is to carry her passion forward. Much like our veterans, military daughters often go under-appreciated. They may be seen as soft or fragile, but they shoulder great responsibility in tough times. We are committed to honoring our veterans and saying “thank you for your service” by offering scholarships to help their daughters achieve their educational goals.

 The Data.

One of the leading reasons young people are unable to go to college is due to financial inability. Many veterans are affected financially, which also impacts their children. Combined with gender inequalities and being a child of a veteran, daughters of veterans may find it more challenging to attend college.

Northville-DOVES is here to help!

We fundraise money for scholarships that we provide to daughters of veterans so they don’t have to worry about financial reasons holding them back from achieving their educational goals.

Northville-DOVES fundraises to provide $1,000 scholarships. From 2018 till present, we have seen a large increase to who we’ve helped both by amount and location. In 2019, we awarded scholarships to two recipients in southeast Michigan. In 2020, we awarded scholarships to 3 recipients across America! Learn more about our scholarships by clicking below.
